How Freshbats Works

A Personalized Approach to Finding Your Perfect Bat

At Freshbats, we believe every player deserves a bat that’s as unique as their swing. That’s why we’ve designed a subscription service that allows you to test multiple wood bat models and find the one that gives you the best performance, comfort, and consistency.

1. Sign Up:

Choose from one of our three subscription plans—Rookie, Prospect, or All-Star—based on your skill level and goals.

2. Personalized Assessment or Select the model you want to try:

We’ll ask you a few questions about your swing mechanics and preferences. Using this information, we’ll curate a selection of bats for you to try.

3. Receive Your Bats:

We’ll ship a hand selected of bat model tailored to your swing profile. You’ll get to try out different models, materials, lengths, weights, and grips throughout the process to eventually find your custom model.

4. Test and Evaluate:

Take your bat out for a test swing. Try them in practice, in games, and in different conditions. Track your performance, comfort, and swing feedback.

5. Swap and Experiment:

Don’t like the feel of a particular bat? No problem. With Freshbats, you have the flexibility to swap out models as needed, ensuring you only keep swinging the ones that work for you.

6. Find Your Bat:

Once you’ve tested multiple models, you’ll be able to choose the bat that gives you the most consistent results and confidence. Whether it’s for training or game day, you’ll have a bat that enhances your performance.

Why You Should Try Multiple Models Before You Decide

Just like every player has a unique swing, every bat has distinct features that will feel different depending on your body, mechanics, and goals. At Freshbats, we give you the tools and the time to experiment with various models to find your perfect fit. Here’s why it’s critical to try multiple bats before making your final decision:

Swing Speed:

Different bat models have varying weight distributions that can impact how quickly you swing. Some are designed to maximize speed, while others offer more power. Only through testing can you feel the difference.

Bat Length and Reach:

A bat that’s too long or too short can affect your reach and comfort. By trying different lengths, you can find the one that feels most natural in your hands, making it easier to control the strike zone.

Barrel Size:

The size of the barrel directly impacts your sweet spot. A larger barrel gives you a bigger target area, but may sacrifice control. A smaller barrel provides more precision. Finding the balance that fits your hitting style is key.

Weight Distribution:

Some bats are end-loaded for more power, while others are balanced for better control. Finding the right weight distribution will allow you to optimize both your swing speed and your ability to hit consistently.

Grip Comfort:

It’s not just about performance. A comfortable grip can make a world of difference. Some bats have thicker handles, while others feature ergonomic grips. The right grip ensures you can hold the bat securely without fatigue, giving you better control.

Material Matters:

Different types of wood (like maple, ash, and birch) offer different feels and durability. Some players may prefer the hardness and power of maple, while others may like the flex and feedback of ash. Testing different materials helps you find the wood that suits your swing mechanics.

Power vs. Control:

Some models are designed to optimize power, while others emphasize control. Only through trial and error will you discover the right balance that enhances your hitting potential.

Sweet Spot Location:

The sweet spot of a bat varies depending on the model. Some bats feature a larger sweet spot, while others focus on pinpoint accuracy. Trying multiple models allows you to find the one that best matches your swing path and hitting style.More FAQs
